WCB Announces 2021 Rates
The WCB Board of Directors approved the 2021 premium rates. The 2021 average premium rate will remain $1.14 in lieu of changing conditions in the market, COVID-19 and economic challenges for Alberta’s businesses. The actual required rate for 2021 is estimated at $1.36 which according to the WCB creates a funding gap of 22 cents. This gap will be covered by the Accident Fund.
