Employer Appeals Consulting (EAC) Service Reminder

EAC service is available through the WCB to employers seeking advice or assistance in initiating a WCB claim decision appeal. There is no fee charged to employers for accessing this service.

The EAC provides information, analysis and advice to assist employers in understanding the policy and legislation related to specific issues of a claim and how the appeal process works. The EAC service will also assist in developing arguments for and against your position so you can make an informed decision on how you would like to proceed. Claim acceptance is the most common reason employers have accessed EAC services, but you can ask for advice or assistance regarding any claim decision you do not agree with.

The EAC was introduced in 2012 as a direct result of advocacy by the ITF (Industry Task Force) Association.

The WCB’s Employer Fact Sheet is attached for your reference.  Below is the link to the online form that must be completed to request EAC services.

Please note, the EAC is not an employer advocacy service. Staff will provide consultation but will not act on your behalf in the claim management or appeal process.
