Submission to the Royalty Review Panel Sent by ACA

On Thursday last week the Alberta Construction Association submitted its recommendations to the Alberta government’s Royalty Review Panel. The ACA felt it was important to inform the government on our position during these difficult economic times.

The ACA feels at present that a review of the royalty revenue needs to be balanced by the current economy and how a rise in royalty rates might create consequences for the industry in this province. While oil is only one portion of our industry the effects of more expensive costs for oil extraction will create higher costs and lower employment.
