Alberta Infrastructure Answers Concerns Regarding Drywall
Due to the changes in the tariffs on gypsum, ACA and the Alberta Wall and Ceiling Association reached out to Alberta Infrastructure (AI) to discuss what will happen with the increasing prices of material.
AI completed a detailed review of their standard forms of contract. They have concluded that the contracts include provisions to ensure that where Tariff increases occur during the course of a contract, the direct cost associated to the Tariff are to be passed onto AI for payment.
In this regard, it is only the direct cost of the Tariff that is eligible for payment. All other costs such as general increases, mark-ups or overhead and profit are not to be applied.
