Alberta Government Recruiting for Board of Skilled Trades

Recruitment is underway for the new Alberta Board of Skilled Trades. The Alberta Board of Skilled Trades will be established when the provincial Skilled Trades and Apprenticeship Education (STAE) Act is proclaimed in early 2022.

The Minister is seeking applications from individuals interested in serving on the Alberta Board of Skilled Trades as the Chair or as a board member. The Board will be responsible for consulting with industry on standards for trades, and advising the Minister on the needs of the Alberta labour market for skilled trades professionals. Board Chair and members will be appointments made through Ministerial Order for a term of up to three years.
