Emerging Skill Sets Literature Review

Alberta’s construction industry has launched a consultative process to develop a strategy to help upskill the construction workforce. Alberta Construction Association recently commissioned a review of the impacts of changing technology on future skills for the construction workforce.

The project is being led by Alberta construction employer and labour organizations.

Industry appreciates the financial support for this project from the Canada-Alberta Labour Market Development Agreement. The Province of Alberta is working in partnership with the Government of Canada to provide employment support programs and services.

The strategy, expected by the end of 2019, will provide industry leaders next steps in the skills agenda for Alberta’s construction industry.
