ACA Congratulates UCP On Their Election

Alberta Construction Association congratulates Premier Elect Jason Kenney and the United Conservative Party on receiving their mandate from Albertans to form the next Provincial Government. 

ACA also thanks Premier Rachel Notley and her Government for their service.  ACA will continue to advocate in a non-partisan manner, member priorities to support construction jobs.  In particular:

• ACA appreciates the new Government’s commitment to maintaining the previous Government’s capital budget,
• ACA looks forward to dialogue to ensure regulations better fit the unique nature of construction, and will actively participate in any review of pertinent regulations,
• ACA is encouraged by promises to support business growth through streamlined project approval processes and through reducing business taxation,
• Finally ACA applauds the new Government’s platform ideas to improve education and mobility of skilled trades

Finally we would like to thank all the outgoing MLA’s for their service and we look forward to working with all MLAs in the Legislature.
