RHFAC Accessibility Assessor Training At SAIT
This fall, the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology (SAIT) will be offering the Rick Hansen Foundation Accessibility Certification™ (RHFAC) Accessibility Assessor Training course for the first time. This 48-hour course is the first step to qualifying for an RHFAC Professional designation, providing you with the knowledge and practical skills needed to rate a building for its overall accessibility under the RHFAC program. Join an up-and coming profession, and learn to view barriers in the built environment from the perspective of people with disabilities.
Prerequisites include:
- You have a diploma of technology in architecture, engineering, urban planning, interior design or a related program; or
- You have a Journeyman Certificate of Qualification in a designated trade related to building construction; or
- You are an engineer or are eligible for registration as an engineer; or
- You are an architect or are eligible for registration as an architect; or
- You have a minimum of five years’ experience related to building construction.
