ACA Met With Premier’s Office

ACA Chair Paul Verhesen, Past Chair Scott Matheson and Executive Director Ken Gibson met with the Premier’s office last Friday. The reason for the meeting was to raise a number of issues with the government.

Fort McMurray was upper most to the discussion as they discussed how best to help the citizens.  Scott Matheson recommended ACCERT to the government as a method of emergency managing the rebuild.

The WCB review was also brought up with ACA raising points about the compressed nature of the schedule and how that may hinder a thoughtful response from an ACA perspective.

Finally the group discussed how best to advocate for pipelines and how best to serve Alberta’s interests on that front.
