Occupational Health and Safety Compliance Policy

Last week Robert Feagan, Executive Director for Occupational Health and Safety (OH&S), made a presentation at the Minister’s breakfast outlining their compliance policy and enforcement.  As part of the presentation he pointed out young workers are prevalent on Alberta worksites. They are easily influenced by their coworkers bad habits, however, also easily influenced when engaged in OHS. ‎

Feagan said, “I recently met with a group of young workers at a Fort McMurray site and by sharing some simple incident alerts, their foreman has informed me that he has noticed a profound change in their interest in OHS and behaviors.” ACA encourages member firms to adopt similar practices if applicable.
