The U.S. Green Building Council has delayed the release of the new version of LEED, now known as LEED v4 until as late as June 2013 due to growing unease in the architectural community.
Concerns included the rapid pace of changes in the rating system, drastic changes in the Materials & Resources category, and the lack of tools and resources that would be widely available by the time the new system was to launch in November 2012. Critics also feared a repeat of the LEED 2009 launch, which was marred by issues in achieving certification.
