ACA Continues Immigration Advocacy

While ACA applauds the positive changes introduced recently by the federal government, ACA continues to advocate for further improvements to immigration programming.  Ongoing advocacy activity includes:

• a June 7 meeting with federal HRSDC Deputy Minister Ian Shugart pressing for greater program alignment with industry classification and assessment of so-called semi or low skilled occupations
• a June 12 meeting with AB Industry Nominee Program to ensure best practices are used, and
• a July 9 meeting scheduled with federal immigration Minister Jason Kenney to ensure successful implementation of the various new and revised processes
