aceBIM Update – April 2016

aceBIM is the design and construction industry’s provincial vehicle to accelerate adoption of BIM within Alberta (www.acebim.ca).  aceBIM’s focus is on bringing together Alberta owners, design consultants, contractors, suppliers, and facility managers to influence national BIM standards and business processes with local experience, and to advocate for local delivery of training of national standards and practices.

aceBIM’s Board has representation from Alberta Infrastructure, Consulting Architects of Alberta, Consulting Engineers of Alberta, Alberta Construction Association, along with individual member firms and educational institutions.

Along with new Board member the Consulting Architects of Alberta, other new member firms include a number of consultants and every large general contractor in Alberta.

Upcoming events include a May 4th workshop with buildingSMART Canada on accelerating adoption of the bSC BIM Implementation Roadmap in Alberta, and a workshop with Alberta Infrastructure for June 2nd (more details to follow).
