1) Structural Engineer with over 28 years experience in the design and supervision of retail, commercial, residential, industrial and pharmaceutical projects. Projects range in value from 10m euro to 200m euro. Also experienced in the supervision of motorway bridge and culvert construction. Recently involved in overseas work in the FM industry. As a Chartered Civil and Structural Engineer with The Institute of Engineers of Ireland and The Institution of Structural Engineers I operated my own consultancy practice for more than 20 years. Hold a CPD Certificate with The Institution of Structural Engineers for 2010 – 2011. I am currently engaged in Facilities Management at the F1 Circuit in Abu Dhabi and my contract extends to the end of October 2012.
2) I’m a fully qualified carpenter, with a wealth of experience, not only in carpentry, but also in the construction industry as a whole. Since completing my apprenticeship in 2001, I’ve run two successful companies in both England and Ireland. I am now seeking career opportunities in Canada. I have applied for the IEC visa and I hope to receive my Letter of Introduction by the end of April, with a view to being in Canada two weeks later.
3) I am a registered electrical contractor in the Republic of Ireland. I am interested in working in Canada this year if any relevant positions are available. I am currently undertaking a degree part time in Construction Technology while running an electrical and construction contracting company. I have experience working in the oil and gas industry as an electrical and instrumentation technician in Norway and in the U.K. I also have a lot of supervisor and inspector QA/QC experience in hazardous areas on oil rigs and gas refineries. I am very hard working and flexible and I pride my self on high standards of work. I am very technically minded and I have experience running a business and managing people time and money. My own company was contracted on Nenagh Hospital in Ireland, University College Dublin and Tesco shopping centre Dublin. I have also extensive refurbishment experience on houses and business premises. I am also a member of the Chartered Institute of Building (ACIOB) and I sit on the graduate and student Novus committee. I am very passionate about construction and engineering and I attend CPD events regularly and I help organise Industry experts to speak at events for students and construction professionals.
