2016 ACA AGM Report

The Alberta Construction Association Annual General Meeting was held on Friday January 29th, in Calgary.  The meeting brought together the board, our associate members, and local construction associations from across Alberta and government representatives.

New chair Paul Verhesen is the president of Edmonton-based Clark Builders and former President of the Edmonton Construction Association (ECA).  Paul has been involved in construction associations at every level in Canada. Dave Kinley moves to Past Chair, Paul Heyens is now the Senior Vice Chair, and Chris Ambrozic was named Vice Chair.

Outgoing Chair Dave Kinley was honoured for his contributions to the ACA over the past few years.  Denis Poitras was also recognised with the ACA Chair’s Award for his work with our Safety WCB committee.

This year’s board will continue the progress made in 2015 as the ACA continues to build on relationships with our partners and government.
